Annual Events
Throughout the year our chapter hosts events to fundraise for our national and local philanthropies. Events include group Cycle Bar rides, Spike for Starkey, Rose Bowl Flag Football, and by selling homemade meals on campus.
Fall
Traditionally our chapter holds a Hoops for Hearing event each fall semester. Organizations on campus are invited to make teams and compete in the basketball tournament. Our chapter is currently creating a new fall philanthropy event.
Spring
Each spring semester, Delta Zeta hosts a Rose Bowl Flag Football Tournament for the Wake Forest community. Members can register as players or donate to watch as spectators!

Starkey Hearing Foundation
Starkey Hearing Foundation is our national philanthropy. This is a non-profit organization that provides hearing aids and other hearing-related healthcare to people in need globally and domestically. They strive to make hearing healthcare services more accessible for people and they are currently working in over 100 countries spread out across the entire world.
From 2015-2025 Delta Zeta raised 5.5 million dollars for Starkey
The Painted Turtle Camp
Our national service project is The Painted Turtle Camp. This is part of a larger initiative called SeriousFun. SeriousFun is a children’s network of summer camps for children living with serious chronic illnesses. They serve children with a range of disorders to have the perfect summer camp experience in countries across the globe. Prior to this year, Delta Zeta’s partnership was only with the Painted Turtle Camp, a single camp in California a part of this collective, but this fall they expanded their partnership to the entire organization.
Girls on the Run
Our chapter has recently switched our local philanthropy to support the new Girls on the Run site being developed in Winston-Salem. Their mission is to empower young girls by using running as a tool for life lessons. By engaging in this national running club for elementary and middle school girls, we hope to promote self-esteem and inspire confidence within our community. Returning to campus, we are excited to begin volunteering our time as coaches and mentors for these young women!
